Our Story: |
Del Livingston and his wife, Suzanne, have a passion for helping others. It has taken them all over the world helping to improve lives. When Del began considering choices for retirement he realized he really wanted to help people. Looking  on the internet he found information about Bio Sand Water filters. While vacationing in Mazatlan Mexico he happened to find a group from Canada making them. For the next few days he returned to the site and learned all aspects of making the filters. Upon returning to the States he started to plan how to put his new knowledge to work. He started setting up small micro businesses in Kenya making and selling the Bio Sand Water Filters. Every time he returns to Kenya he returns with more groups wanting to learn how to make and distribute the filters. Suzanne is still teaching so she can only travel during the summers. When she can join him, she teaches classes on health and sanitation.
Del has plans to return to Kenya in early 2009 and to start new projects in India and Cambodia.

Give Life!
Every day 4,900 people die from waterborne illnesses. Most are under the age of 5. To help prevent this, we have a goal of placing 100 waterfilters in the locations most in need. By placing the water filters in schools, orphanages, and medical centers (including HIV/AIDS Centers) throughout Kenya.
To help, you can donate and spread the word about the program. You can purchase a filter in someone else's name to give as a gift. For , a filter can be made and delivered to one of these vital locations. In return, you will receive a gift card you can give as a symbol of the gift you purchased in their name.
Each filter lasts at least 25 years. Filter production creates jobs and increases stability.
